Grassology

Grassology plays at elementary and middle schools all over San Diego County. The band includes Tom Cunningham , Wayne Rice, and Loren Smith. Grassology performs at fifty or more school assemblies each year as a part of San Diego's Young Audiences Program. The purpose of Grassology is to teach children about bluegrass music—it's origins, the instruments and songs that make it a unique American musical style. Every Grassology performance is a lively and entertaining program that not only features great music, but also involves students by allowing children to actually come on stage and play guitar with the band.

The Bill Shreeve Jazz Band is Jazz at its finest, featuring Bill Shreeve on soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, flute and wind synthesizer. A three to seven piece band featuring a powerful combination of seasoned jazz musicians well known in San Diego for its funky Latin jazz sound. The Bill Shreeve Jazz Band provides an exciting focus for nightclubs, weddings, parties of all kinds, corporate events, and casinos. Sometimes a smaller jazz group is a better choice for more intimate gatherings. So the band is available in various configurations from a quintet down to a solo piano, guitar, or saxophone. These smaller groups can achieve a more traditional sound with the use of an acoustic grand piano and an upright bass. Almost any important cocktail hour or dinner is significantly enhanced with the backdrop of a soft, elegant jazz trio or quartet playing mellow standards, bossa novas, and ballads.

Super Variety Dance Band

From high-energy dance music to cool, sophisticated jazz and standards, Aire Play delivers a complete variety of music performed by some of the finest musicians in the business. Since its inception in 1983, Aire Play has risen in popularity to become one of Southern California's premier party bands...in great demand at high-level corporate events, weddings, and private parties. The band's size is variable and there are several configurations from which to choose. The band is led by and features notable saxophonist, flautist, wind synthesizer player, Bill Shreeve.

Summer Wind

A Frank Sinatra Celebration

Summer Wind is a specialty band focused on that classic Sinatra sound. It's the perfect compliment to upscale events where a classy, sophisticated sound of vintage Sinatra will impart an atmosphere like no other. Summer Wind's repertoire showcases the great jazz standards from the 30's through the 60's made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble, and many other monumental singers. The smooth vocal stylings of Dave Scott provide the voice for Summer Wind. The band also features saxophonist Bill Shreeve who is strongly influenced by the cool west coast sound of Paul Desmond and Stan Getz. Summer Wind is rounded out with piano, upright string bass, and drums. Let Summer Wind take you back to a time when smooth was cool, swing was king, and when live jazz, America's greatest contribution to the performing arts, brought sophistication to the night life. Thanks to a high level of musicianship in the band and a comprehensive book of material, the band can be configured to match any budget and any venue. A smaller group can be used in intimate cocktail settings or a larger band can accomodate a showcase venue.

Currently the house band at the world-famous Bellagio in Las Vegas, this fresh-faced Southern California group is known for its dynamic chemistry, good-natured approachability, and superb musicianship. Clockwork plays just about every genre of music, from elegant jazz standards to acoustic pop to full-scale funk... but classic rock is their specialty.

The Mar Dells

San Diego's most well-known and loved nostalgia band. Since 1982, this popular seven-piece group has been performing dynamic renditions of the best music from the 50's - 70's. The band has now expanded its repertoire to include select hits from the 80's and 90's as well as swing standards from the 40's. Because of their unique versatility The Fabulous Mar Dels are the perfect group for any event. Audiences and clients both locally and internationally have been delighted with their outstanding choice of swing, rock, and Motown classics.

World-class dance review Noche Latina takes place in tropical paradise with sultry salsa dancers and pulsating percussion beats. Witness some of the Worlds best salsa dance professionals as they dance to seductive tempos that lure you to dance, reducing life to a simple, joyful response to the most irresistible beat in the world.

Walt Richards and Paula Strong, as the acoustic duo Trails & Rails, have a large repertoire of cowboy and train songs, along with standard folk, old time songs and instrumentals. Trails & Rails is available for a program, "The Way West", that follows the history of the West through the music of the time.
